Israeli colonists attacked, on Saturday, Palestinian residents in the southern occupied West Bank, injuring an elderly Palestinian woman, the head of the village council confirmed.
South of Hebron, in at-Tiwani village, Mohammed Rabee told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that several Israeli colonists invaded the Masafer Yatta region and attacked Palestinian-owned homes with rocks, injuring a disabled woman while she sat on the front step of her home.
The colonists, Rabee added, who were presumably from the illegal Havat Maon settlement, were under the complete cover of the occupation soldiers, who made no attempts to stop the attack on Palestinian civilians.
Quds News Network identified the disabled woman as 70-year-old Fatima Rib’i, and added that during the settler attack, the soldiers detained a young Palestinian man, identified as Amer Issa Awad.
No further details were reported regarding the injury, or the location of the young man detained by the army.
